Please be aware that resin is akin to ceramic and glass and therefore may be damaged if dropped or knocked. Due to the use of high quality silver-plating in our brooch clasps, tarnishing and oxidisation can occur, producing black and gold discolouration. As with all silver products, you can simply restore it using a silver cloth. Keep your Erstwilder companion neatly tucked away in this box when not being worn, avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, water, and excessive sunlight and you’ll have a trusted friend for years to come.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS – Sister & Soul Earrings
We recommend that you treat each piece with care and follow these instructions:
- Keep your earrings dry & free from creams, cosmetics and body products.
- Chlorine & salt water can discolour and tarnish earrings. Avoid wearing them while showering, swimming or exercising.
- Avoid all chemical contact.
- Polishing your earrings will help to maintain shine and avoid tarnishing.
- Note: When silver and gold are exposed to air and the atmosphere, it causes a chemical reaction that creates something called Silver Sulphate. This sulphur creates the darkening referred to as tarnishing.
Please note that our pieces are made out of plated metals and with wear will tarnish over time.

Each piece is made from laser-cut and layered resin, hand assembled, hand painted and released in limited quantities. As all of our designs are lovingly glued, assembled and painted by hand there can be fingerprint marks and very slight variations and blemishes from piece to piece. Due to the hand-mixed nature of the resins in our designs, it is also common and normal to find tiny flecks or bubbles in the resin layers. All in all, this just makes each piece as special and unique as you are.
Brooch clasps, necklace chains, and jump rings are made from silver-plated steel. Earrings hooks and posts are made from high quality, hypoallergenic stainless steel.
